YouTube is the second most popular website (after Facebook) with more than 790 million visitors per month and 100 billion page views (Reelseo, 2012). The banner ads can be updated regularly and customized to meet our target market. Even if they do not click on the ad, what we are after is brand exposure in these first crucial years of our re-launch.

To reach new target audiences that are not aware of the Wimpy brand we will use Google adwords and purchase the word “Burger” which according to Google adwords has had a local search of 450,000 in the last month. If we are one of the first in the searches for “burger” within UK Google we would be able to build the perception that we are one of leading burger companies in the UK.

Facebook application
The Facebook application is an interactive app that allows users to create their perfect burger. Once they have completed their burger a post will appear on their Facebook wall, which will increase brand awareness. To increase engagement, the user with the highest votes on their “perfect burger” (which will be posted on the wimpy fan page) will have their burger featured in the Wimpy menu for one year.
In order for users to access the application we will be allowed some of their personal information along with access to analytics, bookmarks, newsfeed and notifications. This will help increase engagement with customers.
